A complete Victron energy-storage system — inverter/charger, lithium bank, distribution, protection and monitoring — built into a single ATA road case on casters. 10 kVA of split-phase power and 10.24 kWh of storage that one person can roll in, plug in, and switch on. Why the Roadie X
One case. One person. One plug.
True split-phase 120/240 V through two 50 A California twist-lock outputs — both stay live on battery, not one output plus a shore-only passthrough.
Recharges from any 120 V or 240 V shore drop — empty to full in about 1.8–2.2 hours, generator-assist capable.
Runtime ~1.2 h at 8 kW, ~3.2 h at 3 kW, ~9.6 h at 1 kW — extend indefinitely on shore or solar.
7″ touchscreen on the case plus free Victron VRM remote monitoring — state of charge, load and alarms on your phone.
Silent and zero-emission — runs on stage, indoors, or beside a camera where a 7 kW generator is not an option.

Most sites don't fail because there's no power — they fail because there isn't enough at the moment you need it. A MESSX system sits between the supply and your load, draws a steady, safe amount from whatever's available, and covers every spike from the battery. The breaker never trips, and you run gear the circuit could never handle on its own.

We cap what it pulls from the wall
You set the input limit — say 12 A on a 15 A circuit. The system never draws more than that, so the venue's breaker stays closed no matter what your gear does.

The battery absorbs every spike
Bass hits, motor starts, lighting cues — the loads that trip breakers are short. The battery covers them instantly, in under 20 ms, with clean sine-wave power.

It refills during the quiet
Whenever your draw drops below the input limit, the surplus flows back into the battery — so between sets and during soundcheck it's charging for the next peak.

Runtime stretches way past the battery
Because the outlet is carrying the baseline continuously, the battery only covers the difference. Even a single household circuit can extend a show by hours.

A rooftop with a single 120V 15-amp outlet ran a Funktion-One sound system and lighting for a seven-hour show on one 10K — because the outlet handled the average and the battery handled the peaks. No generator, no permit, no noise.

A rooftop party at The Jack with one 120V 15-amp outlet on the roof. A single 10K peak-shaved that circuit to run a Funktion-One sound system and lighting for a seven-hour show — silent, and monitored live the whole night.
Peak shaving in practice
The Jack — one 15-amp outlet, a Funktion-One rig, seven hours
One outlet in. A whole show out. Seven floors up, and you'd never hear it running.
The roof at The Jack had exactly one 120V 15-amp wall outlet — about 1.4 kW of usable supply, and nowhere near enough to run a Funktion-One sound system plus lighting. A generator was out of the question seven floors up, beside a crowd.
So we peak-shaved it. We capped what the 10K pulled from that circuit so the venue's breaker was never at risk, and let the battery cover every spike above it — bass hits, lighting cues, the moments that trip breakers. Between peaks, the outlet quietly refilled the battery. The result: a rig the circuit could never have run on its own, going for a full seven-hour show, silent, with live monitoring all night.
